There’s never a shortage of things to do in Glendale, California. If you’re visiting or moving to Glendale, you’ll be happy to know there are a variety of activities for you, from laid back and leisurely to the more active ones for the young at heart. Here are just a couple of the things you could spend your afternoon or evening doing while you’re in Glendale.
Scholl Canyon Golf Club
This is an interesting golf experience, and many of those who come here to golf turn out to be faithful, loyal visitors. The first nine aren’t so difficult; so many people can enjoy the game here. However, plan on going through quite a few balls on the back end. There’s some very challenging terrain here as you move into the second nine. Maybe that’s because it was built on an old garbage dump area! You’ll face tricky slopes and sand dunes on this hill-filled golf course. Balls are easily lost to the canyons and slopes. You also get amazing panoramic on clear days. The staff is friendly and accommodating and you can find decently priced food here as well. While you’re on the course, keep on your toes though. The holes are pretty close together and it can get crowded on the weekends since it’s a municipal course.
Moonlight Rollerway
Do you have what it takes to get back out on the rink? Moonlight Rollerway is an enormous skating rink that offers a full skate shop, video games, food, and more. There’s always helpful, adult staff supervising the fun. If you think you’re too old for roller skating or think you’ve forgotten how to roller skate, you can’t use that as an excuse. Every Tuesday night they have adult classes, so dig out your old roller skates or rent some from the rink. You won’t regret it. They have kept the rink just the same as when it opened. You won’t find fancy, dazing lasers here as you may imagine. In fact, one night a week they have organ music. Your kids will love it and so will you.
